EFS GVM upgrade kits
15 federally approved EFS GVM kits (Second Stage of Manufacture). Each kit is fitted by an EFS approved installer and supplied with a compliance pack and owner's manual.

Do I need a GVM upgrade?
Tick off what's on, or going on, your vehicle. Three or more, plus a caravan or camper, and you're likely close to your GVM.

Gross Vehicle Mass is the most your vehicle can legally weigh fully loaded. A GVM upgrade changes the suspension so the vehicle can carry more than the manufacturer's original rating. To be compliant it needs qualified engineering and testing.
GVM: the maximum loaded weight of the vehicle

GVM questions
What's the difference between GVM and GCM?
GVM is the most your vehicle can weigh fully loaded. GCM is the most the vehicle and trailer can weigh combined. A GVM upgrade doesn't always raise GCM, so ask us how it affects your towing at full load.
Does a GVM upgrade need engineering?
Yes. A GVM upgrade needs qualified engineering and testing to be compliant. We guide you through it.
Can't I just fit airbags?
Airbags help level the vehicle but they don't raise its legal GVM. If you're over GVM, you need an upgrade.
Will a GVM upgrade affect my licence?
A car licence covers vehicles up to 4,500 kg GVM. Most ute and wagon upgrades stay under that, but check before going higher.
How much does a GVM upgrade cost?
