The build
The Next Gen Ranger is one of the most common touring utes we fit out. Here's how a typical EFS build goes together, and what each part costs.
| Part | What it does | EFS RRP |
|---|---|---|
| EFS Xcape bull bar (XEB-FORD-04) | Bumper-replacement bar, winch ready, ADR compliant | $2,059 |
| EFS Recon 13,000 lb winch | Electric winch for the bar | $926 |
| Vividmax Ultra driving lights | LED driving lights on the bar | $230 each |
| EFS Elite, XTR or X-Treme lift kit | Shocks and springs for the Next Gen | from $1,932 |
| EFS GVM upgrade (K-FORD-PY-GVM) | Raises GVM from 3230 kg to 3700 kg, approval VTA-063861 | from $3,648 |
Why GVM matters on a Next Gen
A Next Gen dual cab with a bar, winch, canopy and touring gear reaches its 3230 kg factory GVM quickly. The EFS kit adds up to 470 kg and replaces the springs and shocks with heavy duty EFS parts, so the vehicle sits level and stays legal when loaded.
Fitting order
- Bar and winch first, so the front springs can be matched to the weight
- GVM kit fitted and plated by an EFS approved installer
- Lights and wiring last, then wheel alignment
Prices are EFS RRP, plus fitting. See the EFS Ranger Next Gen lift kits, EFS bull bars and EFS GVM kits pages, or get a price for your Ranger below.
